Lane CoreAttention, made tangible.
A handle at the edge. A line or band across the content. A small anchor that lets people keep their place.
- In-app reading line and band
- Appearance and movement controls
- Independent of capture and accounts
Give attention a place to rest.
Give important moments a way to stay.
Embed the reading lane. Add deliberate capture. Connect memory when your experience calls for it.
Most products help us move faster. The moments that matter often ask us to slow down.
A sentence makes you pause. A thought begins to form. For a moment, you see a connection you had not seen before.
Give that moment room.
Let the thought finish.
Keep the reading experience familiar, and make space for the person inside it.
A reading tool, a learning workflow, a research product, an internal application. Choose the layer that belongs in yours.

Carry Plus's capture model into a host app: a voice thought, available source text and an optional compact visual, kept as distinct parts of one memory.
A planned, user-authorized connection to REDLANE's account service for managed ingestion and future access across devices.
Your product does not need a REDLANE account. Lane Core and Capture are designed to stand on their own. Connect is an optional destination.
The SDK brings selected REDLANE interactions into your product. A developer license and a consumer subscription serve different purposes.
| REDLANE product | What carries into the SDK | What needs a separate choice |
|---|---|---|
| Guide Reading tools | Lane Core: the handle, line or band, appearance and movement inside host content. | A consumer Guide unlock does not license an SDK integration. Platform adapters have their own availability and requirements. |
| Plus Local memory | Capture: voice, available source text, an optional visual, source context and a personal note in a structured card. | Plus's Library, Calendar, tags, search and offline EN/FR transcription are app features. Their UI and transcription engines are not promised as bundled SDK components. |
| Pro On-device intelligence | Capture preserves source material and notes for a host's own workflow. | Summaries, semantic search and other Pro intelligence are outside the Capture license. Device support and any future AI integration need separate validation. |
| Cloud AI Optional cloud processing | Connect is a planned account and transport service, separate from AI processing. | The consumer plan's 500 monthly credits and AI-designed cards are not included in SDK licenses. Consumer plans do not include cloud backup or device sync. |

Preserve original audio, available source text, an optional visual, available source title/link and capture time. Keep a transcript and the person's own note separate from the source. Missing text or a blocked visual must stay visibly unavailable.
The planned SDK flow lets the user review a draft before the host saves it locally or to its own backend. A structured card is not an AI-designed layout. The host defines its library, retention, export and deletion experience.
A separate, revocable grant would let a partner create approved cards through REDLANE's account service. Future REDLANE clients would use that service for cross-device access. The iPhone app is not a relay into another app's private files.
Drag the handle or adjust its position below. Explore how capture could extend the experience without taking it over.
A line that stays where it is needed while the content moves underneath it. The host app keeps control of the experience.
Tap the handle to show or hide the lane. Drag it, or use arrow keys while it is focused, to move it.
These controls change the embedded demo. The browser-edge handle follows your homepage Lane Studio settings. No microphone, screenshot, upload or account connection is used.

Sometimes the most useful feature is a small one: a place to keep your eyes, a way to mark a sentence, a moment to say what it means to you.
“The important part is the connection I made while reading it.”
A reading lane helps people stay with the page. A deliberate capture helps them carry something away.
These are different needs. A product can offer one, or bring them together when the person chooses.
Keep the capture in your own workflow. Attach it to a course, an article or a document. Let a personal memory connection remain an option.

The SDK direction extends beyond a single operating system or the REDLANE consumer app.
A focused reading layer within articles, journals and long-form content.
Attach a learner's spoken thought to a lesson or approved learning material.
Bring a view or excerpt into a review, annotation or research workflow.
Integrate the lane or capture object into a specialist product or internal tool.
Reading support and capture are separate. Give people a clear action, a visible recording state and a review before saving.
Keep captures locally, use your own backend, or offer an optional REDLANE connection. A personal account is not required for every use case.
The SDK direction is limited to content supplied by the integrating app. Installing REDLANE alone does not add the lane to other apps. Platform adapters and permission flows still need validation.
Local components by product. Managed services by actual use. No charge for every person who simply opens your app.
Capture product license
Connect stays monthly + usage. No annual Connect offer is confirmed.
For a reading lane inside your own product.
For explicit capture and a structured memory object.
An optional managed REDLANE service.
Several products, tailored integration or contracted support?
A product license is planned to cover one commercial product and its agreed platform variants. Capture does not require Connect. A Connect agreement must specify whether a Capture license is included, its usage allowances and charges. Adapters, support and renewal terms require confirmation. No unlimited storage or AI is included.
The program is in development. Production SDKs, platform adapters, documentation and licensing will be confirmed separately. This reference page introduces the planned modules; onboarding and billing are not open yet.
Yes, that is the proposed foundation. Lane Core is independent of capture, memory accounts and cloud services. Free commercial use is planned at launch, subject to the final license.
Not for the planned Lane Core or Capture modules. Your product can use local storage or your own backend. A REDLANE account is needed only when a user chooses the optional connected-memory service.
No. The program is intended for web, mobile and desktop experiences. Availability and feature parity must be validated per adapter. On iPhone, an SDK integration would work inside its host app. Safari support would need a separate extension or web integration; it is not supplied by installing the SDK in another app. Apple's Safari extension overview explains that separate platform.
Through a planned account service and a separate, revocable user authorization. The initial direction is permission to create approved cards, not read a person's existing library. A partner app cannot simply use the REDLANE app's local storage. Managed ingestion and cross-device sync are roadmap services, not available consumer-plan benefits. On Apple platforms, App Groups are for apps from the same developer.
No. Developer licenses and Guide, Plus, Pro and Cloud AI subscriptions are separate purchases. A consumer subscription does not license SDK distribution. The SDK prices do not include the Plus workspace, Pro AI, the 500-credit monthly Cloud AI allowance, or AI-designed cards. Capture joins source material and a personal note in a structured object. Future hosted processing requires its own agreement.
Plus's Android design includes local English/French transcription, transcript correction and no upload for transcription. The SDK keeps audio, any transcript, source text and personal notes distinct. Bundled engines, languages, model distribution and device requirements must be confirmed for each SDK adapter; the Capture price is not a promise of that complete Android feature set. No cloud transcription is enabled automatically.
Commercial renewal, expiry and continued-use rights will be defined before SDK sales open. The host app owns its storage and must define access, export and deletion for its users. REDLANE consumer cancellation terms do not automatically govern a partner app or a developer license. Connect retention and export terms also require a service agreement.
No. A reading guide is separate from capture. The capture direction requires an explicit action, appropriate host permissions, a visible state and review. Connecting storage does not automatically enable cloud AI.
A developer would register its product, agree the module and platform scope, accept the commercial license and complete billing before paid package access is issued. Billing and license delivery still need implementation; installing demo code does not create a charge or a paid license. No payment is collected here.
That is central to the proposed modular design. The host product chooses where the lane appears, which content may be captured and where approved captures go. Enterprise requirements and redistribution can be discussed individually.
